In Season

This is our favorite place to be.  If anyone says, "I'm going down to the garden," suddenly everyone drops what they're doing, someone picks up the cat, and down we go.  We water a little, pull a few weeds, thin a few veggies, and sometimes we just sit and soak up the peacefulness.

Of course, Jemima enjoys it.  She's an indoor cat, after all, and the excitement of being out in the open thrills her no end.

Yesterday, I was able to take some lettuce and cilantro to church to share.  Hope we have lots more to give away.  We're garden novices, so we've made a few mistakes, but we're learning.

Want some carrots?  Soon, soon.

We thought of the Stone family today. World Cup starts this weekend and we are sure you will be fixed on some soccer games. Your garden looks GREAT! Good job!

Your garden spot is GORGEOUS! Looks like something out of a magazine. Just read yesterday that $100 spent on plants can yield $1000 of produce. Can't beat that return on Wall Street!

I'm so jealous of your fenced in garden, I've been fighting with peter rabbit all week. I also would love to take my cat out in a garden like yours it must be wounderful for your cat! I can't wait to see more photo's. You'll have to tell me how to space photo's and text out on a blog, whenever I try to put them like you have them they all still end up at the top of my page. I have to go buy some peat moss for my blue berry bushes.
Have a great weekend.

I can't believe how much it's grown! Me and my pathetic excuse for a grape tomato plant over here are jealous.
