The Long and Winding Road

Friday night concert in Clinton. Great friend to hang out with. Almost home for some PS3. Almost a perfect night...

Burnt Mills road is dark and narrow with lots of curves. We don't know exactly what happened, but it seems Neil lost control of the car--maybe black ice, maybe a miscalculated curve, maybe an animal in the road. He couldn't gain control and the car spun into a tree on the driver's side. His friend called 911, paramedics came and a lifeflight helicopter took him to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital--a very good place to be for brain injuries.

We don't know all the details, but this is what we've pieced together.

Just thought you might want to know.

Thanks so much for the updates. We love you guys and continually pray for you all. I wish so much that we could do more. Just know that there are some serious prayers being sent up here in Colorado....and in Albuqurque as the Denver Temple is closed.

Lori this is a great idea so I do not have to keep bugging Jen and Jared about your sons status. We are ALL keeping him in our prayers.

I was so grateful when Neil bailed me out by helping shovel 4 yards of mulch in 100+ heat a couple summers ago when I broke an ankle. Becky, the kids & I pray for Neil daily, have a prayer in our heart for him and your support. Keep a positive spirit, hang in there and miracles will follow.

Hello...

My name is Vicki.
A group of us here in New Jersey heard about what happened... Our hearts go out to you and to Neil. We are praying for him daily, and for you also. We have asked everyone we know to pray as well. There is a Pastor in Arkansas and a couple in the Carolinas too...
Thank you for the updates.

God bless you.
We send our love.

Lori,
Thank you for setting this up. I keep bugging Brandon, looking for updates. We feel so helpless and so sad. Our prayers are being sent your way. Everyone got an e mail from me asking for prayers and fasting, also our stake last Sunday. This site will help us keep in touch. We love you all, and pray for a speedy recovery for Neil. Much love,
Carl, Cindy and Spencer Roberg
PS Glad Grandma and Shelley are there with you guys!!

You know how much Neil has meant to us. He and your husband were two of the best home teachers we've ever had. Remember that you are loved by so many.
