Sound in Body

Neil's injuries are isolated to his head and face. His heartbeat is strong and his vital organs are intact and healthy. We saw a few scratches on his hands (maybe from the concert moshpit? :-) ) but no bones are broken. Because of the IV drips and medications he is quite swollen. Believe it or not, the swollen body is helping to undo the swelling in his brain. So now our skinny Neil is quite the fatty. Okay, not really, but his hands and his arms are definitely chubby-looking.

Doctors tell us his age, health, and vitality are in his favor. I think we all know about his enthusiastic "I'm invincible" attitude! So we're remaining hopeful.

Thanks again for love, prayers, and positive thoughts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us. Thank God for sparing Neil of any further injury. Artie had thought there might have been injuries to his arm(s) and we are grateful for that strong heartbeat and his youth!!!
We are holding on to his "Invincible" attitude! You are in our prayers and our good thoughts are with you.
God be with you-

We will continue to pray for Neil and the rest of the family. Not a day goes by that you are not in our prayers.

Thank you so much for letting everyone know how Neil is doing. We met briefly this past summer when Scott was a Family Life merit badge counselor for my son. My son has known Neil for a while, and Neil has been to our house; he is a really great kid. Praying for Neil's recovery and your peace. He has been added to the prayer list at the church where I work.

After I told Hayden about the Neil's accident, he said is it Fatty Pineapple or Fatty French Fry? I said I don't know I think it's Fatty French Fry and he quickly corrected me and said no, that's Eric! Neil is Fatty Pineapple. Not sure why, but we are glad he's living up to his nickname! Glad the swelling of his body is helping the swelling in his brain. Thanks for the updates!

Just wait until you receive the pictures drawn by the girls...those nicknames sure have stuck around here. It is probably just us and everyone else probably thinks we are bonkers but oh, do we love to talk about fatty and french fry! My girls were busting a gut looking at all the funny facebook pictures of Neil. Our Fatty is one funny dude!
